Addicted

So I have a brand new addiction. Lets call it---Guitar Hero Addiction. Although this new toy was given to my brother-in-law, I think I have played it the most. In a day and a half my sister and I have already beaten the game...ok so it was on Easy mode. But beat it none the less. Now I am out to conquer it on Medium. The sad thing is that i leave on Monday and will probably never play again. But it sure has been a fun addiction for the week! Monday night at the movies

Well I found a new movie that could easily rank up there with some of my favorites. The name of this wonderfully hilarious movie is Benny (with two n's) and Joon (with one n). And it was my brother who made me sit down and watch it with him tonight. He claimed it was his girlfriend's favorite and that I should see it. It looked rather odd from the front cover. Upon reading the back however, I noticed the name of one Johnny Depp and thought, hum this might not be too bad to watch after all. There are some touching parts but some quite hilarious moments as well.



Joon has become a rather disturbed young woman since the death of her parents and the only person who seems to reach her is Sam (Johnny Depp). His humor and loving personality towards Joon makes him a very rare person indeed. His "roll" dance (as seen left) was absolutely one of my favorite parts.



It seems that this movie has taught me a lot of important things. Among these important tidbits is a new found way to make grilled cheese. (Just don't forget the iron and the ironing board as well!)

This movie is a definite "must see". Rated six thumbs up by Sheryl, Donny, and Danielle.

And then after you see our family's most embarassing moment- you have to elf yourself too! (or atleast elf someone you know.) We made one at school of the girls on my first grade team and played it for the kids! They were laughing so hard and thought we were the ones really dancing!

Good Day! Good News!

Today was a good day. As you can tell by the time stamp on this blog, it has also been a LONG day. Its been a go go go kind of day. But the best part was when my best friend from Vegas called me and told me that her and her husband are going to have a baby. I am so excited for them! They are two of the greatest people anyone could ever meet. And now they will be adding a little one to their family. Have you ever thought about your life and laid out a plan for it? K so maybe I've made like 50 of those plans. Life has turned out so much more different than I could have ever planned. I never would have thought I would be at this place in my life that I am today. Oh don't get me wrong, I'm happy with how things have turned out. But when things like this happen, or when you have yet another friend get engaged, its hard to keep that smile on your face and convince everyone that you indeed happy like you say you are. But I'm getting better at it!

The True Meaning of Christmas Lies in your Heart

Wow, I can't believe how close Christmas is getting! Although I feel like I have been celebrating Christmas for months now with my class! Sometimes I wish it could all just be over already. Sometimes the holidays aren't much fun when you are by yourself and especially when you have no children. I wish I could go back to being a child and have that pure innocence and joy all the time. But today as we were watching the Polar Express in class, and as my 24 6-year olds got so excited, I realized that I had forgotten about the true meaning of Christmas and how blessed I truly am. My "children" remind me of that everyday that I come to work.

Babies all around! I recently found out that I am going to get a new little nephew in May! My oldest sister Terra is pregant and I can't wait until their little peanut is born. And then, as if I wasn't already excited about being an aunt for the 4th time...my sister Kristi found out that she too is going to have a baby in 2008! I can hardly wait for these little ones to come! Sometimes things happen for reasons that we can't comprehend. How different life turns out to be sometimes huh?
